Medical Assistant
MEDICAL ASSISTANT – CLINICAL/CLERICAL

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. In this pivotal role, you will play an integral part in delivering exceptional patient care while supporting our staff in various clinical and clerical tasks. As a Medical Assistant, you will work closely with our providers, nurses, management and TEAM members to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow in our practice. Your responsibilities will encompass both front-office and back-office duties, allowing you to utilize your skills. The ideal candidate will be compassionate, detail-oriented, and passionate about providing quality care to our patients. You will have the opportunity to engage with patients directly, assisting them through their medical journey while also supporting the operational aspects of the facility. RESPONSIBILITIES
•Check in patients, verifying insurance information and informing them of any outstanding balances.
•Perform administrative tasks such as copying, filing, faxing, and data entry.
•Obtain payments for office visits and document all financial transactions accurately.
•Prepare patients for examinations by taking medical histories and vital signs.
• Assist healthcare providers during examinations and procedures.
• Administer medications and injections as directed by the provider.
• Schedule appointments and manage patient records electronically.
• Perform basic laboratory tests.
• Provide patient education on health maintenance and disease prevention.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and maintain a clean and safe environment.
•Contributes to TEAM effort by accomplishing additional duties with high quality results in a timely manner as assigned by management.

REQUIREMENTS
•Certification as a Medical Assistant preferred
•Two years proven experience in a medical office or clinical setting preferred
•Knowledge of medical terminology and practices
•Strong interpersonal and communication skills
•Ability to multitask and work efficiently, time management skills, and prioritize work tasks
•Proficient in basic computer skills and electronic medical records systems
•Must have insurance knowledge
•Current CPR/BLS certification
